Comic book artist/creator Michael Turner dead at 37.

This won't mean jack squat to most of the people watching me (though I am 100% certain you will be hearing this at Comic Con all over the place), since they don't read comics. But to those who do care... yeah, I know I may have made fun of Turner's art in the last few years. Doesn't discount or discredit the brave, brave fight he put up against the cancer he was battling.

Hell, I never admitted this to anyone, but Michael Turner was one of my biggest inspirations back when I started getting serious about my art. I was just a young Tomb Raider fan and I thought his art for the comic was INSPIRING. I thought he did some of the coolest stuff ever. I copied him, but really poorly. But I wanted to draw like him. Eventually, I found other inspirations, but I've always kept an eye on Turner's stuff. I'd even thought about getting 'Soulfire' too... maybe I will now, out of respect.

You were a brave man and an inspiration, Michael. May you finally be at peace.
